The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.
SASSA will probably be rendering expert services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency said it can be alarmed with regards to the substantial range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme sassa status check [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office dedicated to service the area regularly. The company place designed for intervention encounters a high inflow of possible beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more resources to help the servicing of all buyers and increase use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
